The Hunting of a Snark

This is both a poem and a game, inspired directly by The Hunting of the Snark by Lewis Carroll. To play the game, begin reading the poem, making note of what is required in order to hunt the Snark. When you reach a point where you know you have failed to hunt the Snark, stop reading. When you are ready to try again, start reading from the beginning again.

You are not allowed to read any portion of the poem out of order! The challenge of the game is learning how you are meant to prepare to play, and then only starting to read when you are ready. I cannot tell you what you need to play aside from these rules, since finding out is part of the game itself.

You will enjoy this game more if you have read at least the first few chapters of the original poem it is based on.
