Hippo Heist Christmas One Pager
A downloadable game
It’s the night before Christmas eve, and you with your fellow elves have finished all your projects leading up to Christmas; the big man should have all he needs. As you gather for your annual cookie exchange, sipping on hot cocoa by a crackling fireplace, the door is thrown open and a burst of snow flies into the room! It’s Chestnut Toffeesocks, your supervisor. Seems like Santa has decided to fulfill an unusual request this year, and he needs your help to make it happen. Some kid named Gayla says she wants a hippopotamus for Christmas...
This is a one pager ttrpg for 2+ players. Originally created for a group of 12 people who had never played a roleplaying game before, the rules are simple and encourage festive creativity.
Things needed to play: pencils and paper, a map of a zoo (easily found online), 1d20, and some d6s.
This version has no decorative formatting or art; that may be added in the future.

Aaaaaah! This is amazing! I gotta go get my group together and play this ASAP, really looking forward to it.
Also. I'm guessing you know this, given that you wrote the game, but the whole story with the Oklahoma City Zoo getting a hippo due to that song is amazing, I love it so much.
Thank you! The group I ran this for had an amazing time, so I really hope your group loves it.
